Our Mission
At Horizon Creative Studio, we believe great design should be usable by everyone. We create tools and experiences that make sketching and thinking easier.
Our Commitment
We are working to make our website and digital content accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. Our goal is to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and track updates toward WCAG 2.2. Accessibility is an ongoing process, and we view it as a continuous improvement journey.
What We’re Doing

Inclusive by design
We consider accessibility early in design and development, using semantic HTML, meaningful headings, labeled form controls, and clear focus states. -
Keyboard & screen-reader support
We aim for full keyboard navigation and test key flows (browsing, adding to cart, checkout) with assistive technologies. -
Color & contrast
We select color palettes and typography for legibility and run contrast checks to meet WCAG guidelines. -
Images, media & motion
We add descriptive alt text to meaningful images, limit motion where possible, and provide captions/transcripts for key videos (or make them available on request). -
Error prevention & feedback
Forms include clear labels, instructions, and inline error messages to help you complete tasks successfully. -
Regular reviews
We combine automated scans with manual checks to identify and fix accessibility issues across templates and new content.
Scope
This statement covers horizonruler.com (our Shopify storefront) and official Horizon content we publish. Some features such as embedded Kickstarter pages, YouTube/Vimeo videos, Instagram posts, or third-party Shopify apps are provided by external services. We select partners with accessibility in mind, but there may be aspects outside our direct control.

Kickstarter & social embeds: Accessibility options vary by platform. If you encounter an issue in an embedded element, please let us know and we’ll provide the information in an accessible alternative format.

App integrations (Shopify): We review apps for accessibility considerations; if an app introduces a barrier, we work with the developer or adjust our implementation.
